Each oyster shell is washed, sanitized and air dried in the sun. Then they are decoupaged and hand-painted in metallic gold paint on the sides and edges. I like to leave the backs a natural shell for beautiful contrast. They are then waterproofed and dried again.
Each garland has a mixture of gemstones, porcelain, wood, hand-made Kashmiri beads, gold-filled beads, clay, custom-made lampwork glass beads, sea glass, African glass.

The tassel is a silky rayon.
